The Most Hardcore Porsche 911 Is Ready To Break Records
Manthey Racing is getting ready to introduce the Porsche 911 GT3 RS MR – the most hardcore version of the 992 generation of Zuffenhausen’s sharpest driving tool. Announced on its social media channel, the venerable racing team will be unveiling its latest creation on November 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM CET/4:00 AM ET.
It has been seven years since Manthey Racing first introduced the previous MR based on the 991 GT3 RS, which received subtle updates in 2020, so it’s high time that we’ll see a major update based on the latest 911 GT3 RS, the most hardcore Porsche 911. There isn’t a lot of information based on the announcement’s accompanying image, though we have some clues based on the track beast’s previous sightings.
What We Know So Far
Known for lending its hand in creating lap-time record-setting Porsches, the upcoming 992 GT3 RS MR has been spotted testing at the Nürburgring several times before, with the first ones going as far back as last year. Based on those sightings, we’ll know the next MR will have larger-than-life body kits to further improve its aerodynamic flow. The most obvious one was the exceptionally large rear wing, with equally massive end plates. There’s also a new central fin a la Le Mans hypercar.

The Most Hardcore Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Finally Lands In America
The Manthey-Racing kit for the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS costs more than a new Civic Type R, and it doesn’t even include the car.
Moreover, we’re seeing canards on the bumper that should assist in balancing the aero load, while the vortex generators on the roof and giant rear diffuser should increase downforce. As we’re expecting suspension upgrades, underfloor upgrades won’t be surprising, though those aren’t confirmed at this point. For now, we’re sure that the next 911 GT3 RS MR will look more aggressive than ever.
What’s Yet To Be Revealed
Suspension upgrades are almost guaranteed at this point, but what we don’t know is how far Manthey Racing would go to further improve the 911 GT3 RS’s track performance. Other candidates for MR upgrades include wheels, brakes, and other chassis improvements. However, additional power to the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six could happen, especially with the hopes of a new Nürburgring lap time record to beat the garden variety GT3 RS.
