2026 BMW iX Configurator Goes Live
Have you been itching to spec out your refreshed 2026 BMW iX facelift? Raging that German customers have been able to build their cars for weeks now while BMW hid it from people in the US? We’ve got some good news because BMW has loaded the new iX into its US site configurator. Letting you find out just how much the M70 of your dreams – and the BMW that is the EV with the most satisfied drivers – is going to set you back.

The 2026 iX starts from $75,150 plus destination. That gets you the brand-new all-wheel drive xDrive45. The entry-level trim comes with 402 horsepower and a maximum range of 312 miles. If that’s not enough for you, the iX xDrive60, which was called the xDrive50 last year, delivers up to 364 miles of range and 536 horsepower. All for $88,500.
At the top of the range, at least as far as price and features, if not the distance it can travel, is the iX M70. The 650-horse model does 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, almost a full second quicker than the old 60. It rings the till at $111,500.
Plenty Of Options To Pick From
BMW doesn’t quite go as extreme as Porsche when it comes to options, but you can still add plenty of goodies to most of the iX lineup. The xDrive45 offers a $4,500 M Sport package with 21-inch wheels blue brake calipers, and M steering wheel, and goodies including M seats, a panoramic electrochromic roof, heated front seats, Harman Kardon audio, and some extra driver assists. Most paint colors are free, but Storm Bay Metallic is $1,950 and Frozen Deep Gray is $3,600.
There are 14 different wheel options, with prices from $800 up to $2,000. The real price here, though, is in the range. Pick your wheels incorrectly, and the range can drop to 279 miles. Surprisingly, the 23s aren’t the worst, returning an estimated 290 miles.

On the inside, BMW offers its Sensatec in Oyster, Mocha, and Black. With the M package, you get black Sensatec microfiber. A Stonegrey microfiber and wool blend is $500, and $3,500 can get you Amido (black) or Castanea Chestnut leather.
Options include the Premium package for $1,850 with a head-up display and augmented reality navigation, and the $4,450 Executive package ($3,250 with M Sport) with a selfie camera, glass control dials, soft-close doors, and the Premium items. Dynamic handling is $1,600, and all the driver assists including eight years of hands-off highway assist are $2,550. M Sport Pro with black trim is $950, and Climate Comfort will warm you up for $1,600.
The xDrive60 offers the same M Sport package. It comes with the same paint and interior color picks and the same option packs, though the Premium pack is $100 less and the Executive $50 less because of already included features. Get the wrong wheels on the xDrive60, and you can bring the range down to 318 miles, canceling out much of the benefit of the larger battery pack.
The Most Expensive Version Of The Highest-Satisfaction EV
At the top of the line, the iX M70 gives you some different M wheel choices. M Sensatec is standard, with Amido leather for $2,500 and Castanea Chestnut for $2,500. The Driving Assistance package is available, and the Executive package is just $1,000 because the M70 already has most of the features.

About that “most satisfied” claim. That comes from auto research firm J.D. Power’s 2025 U.S. Electric Vehicle Experience Ownership Study. This year, the iX topped that list in the Premium EV segment, scoring 23 points ahead of the Tesla Model 3 and 20 up on the Rivian R1s. BMW was in the number two spot as well as number one, with the i4 in second place. Rivian and Tesla were three and four, respectively.
Though they’re in a different category, the iX also scored higher than any mass-market model. The Hyundai Ioniq 6 was tops there with a score of 751.
